Williams, a Welsh clergyman, to the mountains and antiquities of Caernarvonshire, including Snowdon and the castles of North Wales. Written in the age when the picturesque tour first drew travellers into Wales, it directs the visitor to the scenery, ruins, and roads of the region. Such guides record the dawn of Welsh tourism.
