About this book
Geoffrey Strong, by Laura E. Richards, is dedicated to Richard Sullivan, kindest of uncles, friends, and critics. The contents list names chapters titled The Temple of Vesta, The Young Doctor and Garden Fancies, among others. The young doctor remarks that it is a pleasant looking house and asks what is the matter with his getting taken in there.
The young doctor crosses the street, picks up a handkerchief and offers it to Miss Phoebe Blyth with a bow and a pleasant smile. The young doctor asks if he has the honour of speaking to Miss Blyth and says he is Doctor Strong, adding that Doctor Stedman may have spoken to her of him. Geoffrey is said to declare he had not had such fun for weeks, and goes from chair to chair with Miss Vesta following him with little plaintive murmurs.
