About this book
Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá'u'lláh is a text by Bahá'u'lláh. Numbered entries are headed by their opening words, among them VII, Verily I say, this is the Day in which mankind, and CLII, Thine eye is My trust, suffer not the dust. The text says this is the Day in which mankind can behold the Face, and hear the Voice, of the Promised One.
The text voices the wish that the light of unity may envelop the whole earth and that the seal, the Kingdom is God's, may be stamped upon the brow of all its peoples. The text says that most of the commentaries and interpretations of the words of God, now current amongst men, are devoid of truth.
