About this book
The Kitáb-i-Íqán is a text by Bahá'u'lláh. The text asks what could have caused such contention and conflict, and why the advent of every true Manifestation of God hath been accompanied by such strife and tumult, by such tyranny and upheaval. The text states that all the Prophets of God, whenever made manifest unto the peoples of the world, have invariably foretold the coming of yet another Prophet after them.
The text says it is recorded in the Gospel according to St. Luke that on a certain day Jesus passed by a Jew who was sick of the palsy. The text relates, in works named Biháru’l-Anvar, Aválím and Yanbú’, that Ṣádiq, son of Muḥammad, spoke the words "Knowledge is twenty and seven letters."
