About this book
The book is The Kitáb-i-Aqdas by Bahá’u’lláh. A numbered list of phrases includes, among others, Gambling, the use of opium, and It hath been forbidden you to carry arms unless essential. A line in the list says Ye have been prohibited from making use of pulpits, and that whoso wisheth to recite the verses of his Lord should sit on a chair placed upon a dais.
A question numbered 58 concerns the blessed verse about performing a single prostration in place of each unsaid Obligatory Prayer when travelling. The text says Tablets were revealed and dispatched in their original form without being checked and reviewed. The text says the House of Justice has ruled that it is not appropriate for funds for the Faith to be raised through lotteries, raffles, and games of chance. A note on item 170 says the prohibition of the use of opium is reiterated by Bahá’u’lláh in the final paragraph of the Kitáb-i-Aqdas.
