About this book
How It All Came Round is a book by L. T. Meade. The contents list chapters called The Rich Charlotte, The Poor Charlotte and Lodgings In Kentish Town. A speaker remarks to his wife that the name Harman is her own name before she married.
A woman describes a young lady called Charlotte Harman as so very, very beautiful, and graceful, and gracious, so rich while she herself is so poor. A speaker is to go to Prince's Gate every morning, to be there at ten and give services till one o'clock, for thirty shillings a week. Charlotte replies that they also want the money, and that the want of the help the letting brings in, in the matter of rent, is their true reason for letting. Mrs. Home says that, strange as it may seem, things are more right than wrong.
