The book is titled In Bohemia with Du Maurier, carries the subtitle The First of a Series of Reminiscences, and names Felix Moscheles as its author. The book is described as having 63 Original Drawings by G. Du Maurier illustrating the Artist's Life in the Fifties. A chapter headed "Tumblings" with Du Maurier and Friends recalls a first meeting with du Maurier in the class-rooms of the famous Antwerp Academy.
One passage on Brassin says there was something decidedly interesting about his looks, but his figure gave one the impression of having been very carelessly put together. A narrator says he felt sure her mother would not fail to be duly impressed, for to figure in Punch would raise him in her estimation as a person of no small importance.
