About this book

Larry Dexter's Great Search, subtitled Or, The Hunt for the Missing Millionaire, is by Howard Roger Garis. A young reporter named Larry says he came down about the wreck and that he is a reporter from New York. A man in oilskins says he has a shack down on the beach, fishes for a living, and gives his name as Bert Bailey.

Larry says he has worked on this case from the start and knows as much about it as anyone. Larry tells a man named Sullivan that how he came to threaten Miss Potter will read queerer still when it comes out in the Leader. The German reporter Fritsch says his car will climb the biggest hills and catch the scoundrels, and remarks that if his car does not beat the other one he gives up riding.
