Hope Mirrlees

Hope Mirrlees (1887-1978) was a British poet, novelist, and translator linked to the Bloomsbury Group and a close friend of Virginia Woolf. Though she wrote little, her modernist poem "Paris" and the fantasy novel "Lud-in-the-Mist" secured her a lasting, if belated, reputation.
