About this book
Mary, subtitled The Queen of the House of David and Mother of Jesus, is a book by A. Stewart Walsh. Words attributed to Gabriel say "Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee", and words attributed to Mary say "All generations shall call me blessed." The author dedicates the story to womankind throughout the world. An introduction by Rev. T. De Witt Talmage, D.D., says he has been asked to open the front door of this book.
The text says Saint Augustine revered as his guiding star two lovely women, Monica, his mother, and Mary, the mother of Jesus. A character named Miriamne, perceiving that her mother was curious to hear the whole story, says she will begin with the return of the wanderers.
