About this book
Michelangelo's Shoulder is a book by John Moncure Wetterau. A note at the front says some of these stories first appeared in Archipelago and The Paumanok Review. One story describes Lorna as protected, highly educated and out of reach for Don Delahanty, adding that he was blocky and she was slim. One story includes the thought that it was time to leave Savannah, past time, and to head for Portland again and look up Lorna.
One story speaks of a diner that had appeared in the night like a miracle. A waitress in one story takes a drag from her cigarette and asks a man whether Heidi is good looking. A narrator in one story carries Jamie to a front door opened by a woman who had heard the crash, and an ambulance comes within a few minutes.
