About this book

Operation R.S.V.P is a text by H. Beam Piper. One letter, from Vladmir N. Dzhoubinsky to Wu Fung Tung, announces the completely successful final tests of a new nuclear-rocket guided missile, Marxist Victory. Another letter, from Wu Fung Tung to Vladmir N. Dzhoubinsky and dated 7 Feb., 1984, says the Government of the writer was most delighted to learn of the splendid triumph of your Government in developing the new guided missile Marxist Victory.

A letter signed V. N. Dzhoubinsky says the writer’s Government is still hopeful that the other Government will revise its present intransigeant position on the Khakum River dispute. A letter warns that among a people still practicing ancestor-worship, an epidemic of sterility would be a disaster indeed. Another letter says that, obviously, some single supra-national sovereignty is needed to maintain peace.
