P.I. I Love You

Due to the dearth of promotions in her small-town police department, the main character, River Nightingale, a former police officer, chooses to change jobs. In an attempt to become her boss, she buys a private detective service in Seattle.

When Homicide Detective Gage Hamlin enters her life, her life takes a change, making her doubt her cases and her pride. River’s client feels that Gage handled a case incorrectly, so she has to show that Gage overlooked a murder.
