About this book
Photographic Reproduction Processes is described on its title page as a practical treatise of the photo-impressions without silver salts, by P. C. Duchochois. The contents list covers the cyanotype or blue process, the aniline process and the carbon process, among others. The text describes how a slip of this paper, when washed over with the ferrosesquicyanate of potash, shows a considerable deposit of Prussian blue on the sunned part, and none whatever on the rest.
A section on H. Cooper's process gives directions for preparing the paper, to crush the arrowroot to fine powder, then rub it to a paste with a little water. A formula lists ammonium sulphocyanate 35 parts, gold terchloride 0.15 part and water 350 parts, and the text adds that the solution can be used over again.
