About this book
Port O' Gold is called a history-romance of the San Francisco Argonauts, by Louis J. Stellman, 1922. The dedication reads: to the city of my adoption and rebirth, San Francisco.
Jack Cooper says "That's Aleck McTurpin from Australia." Benito's pile of coin was nearly gone, and McTurpin dealt. Potts observes the pale face and the hectic, burning eyes of young Benito with a frowning disapproval. Broderick says Coleman will withdraw his Vigilante guard from the jail on Sunday morning. The text follows Frank as he makes his way northward and east through the ruins, where here and there little shops had opened, eating houses for the army of rehabilitation.
