About this book
The Delight Makers is a book by Adolph Francis Alphonse Bandelier. The title page says "WITH AN INTRODUCTION By CHARLES F. LUMMIS", and the contents list, among others, a preface, a preface to the second edition and a note in memory. The text says Shyuote, "unable to keep pace and startled at his wild gait, pulled his garment and begged him to stop". Okoya came to a sudden halt, and turned toward the boy like one aroused from a sinister dream.
The book describes the round chamber in which the meetings of the tribal council were usually held, which exists to-day as a semicircular indentation in the cliffs. The book has a dismal yelping sound from below, the voice of a coyote from the banks of the stream, and says the wolf had followed the returning hunters.
