About this book

Aya de León's book "Queen of Urban Prophecy" is centered around the 20-year-old female rapper Deza. She is navigating the turbulence that accompanies being the star of an all-female tour. Further issues arise when her female DJ leaves and is replaced by a male DJ. Deza discovers that her label intends to profit from undermining the all-female lineup as she deals with the fallout from her decisions.

Deza must face ruthless industry sexism and corporate greed to make a change for all women, not just herself after her ex-boyfriend accuses her of being nothing more than a front for his genius, and a disastrous revelation shows the clothes firm supporting her is utilizing slave labor.
