About this book
Warren H. Miller is the author of Red Mesa. A chapter headed Blaze says it was perhaps an hour after Sid and his Apache captors had gone by that Blaze finally came to, and that the dog moaned feebly and tried to rise to his feet. Blaze lopes on, grim, dogged, determined, while the sun is setting and travel will be more endurable.
Sid shouts, "Tie the lariat to the middle of it!" Sid coils the lariat and casts it up to fall around a rock pinnacle. Honanta muses, more to himself than to Sid, "Once more, then, before I die, I must leave the Arms of the Great Mystery!"
