About this book
Tom reports that the trailer attached to the wireless equipment on his airship has crossed a wire from the power plant, leaving him caught in a live wire. Mr. Swift asks whether he should shut off the power, and Tom agrees if he can, while warning him to avoid being shocked.
Koku struggles to recover a buried piece of steel and emerges from a cave carrying the heavy armor plate. Tom announces that his projectile has passed part way through the plate and carried it into the side of the hill. Tom wears specially prepared eardrum protectors to reduce the shock of the cannon, along with others who know its power.
