About this book
The account of gold objects describes two plain, flat hoops or circlets, about an inch in diameter, tapering towards ends that remain unjoined. The description of a museum hoard lists finger-rings of plaited wires, a solid ring formed from a tapering rod, and portions cut from rings. The explanation of two plaited rings specifies three intertwined wires apiece, with soldered ends and rods rounded and tapered by hammering.
The gallery description gives a length measured along the floor's central line, with a narrower entrance and a wider interior section. The observer thought the floor might have been paved with natural water-worn stones, while explicitly leaving that point uncertain.
