About this book
Sermons to the Natural Man by William G. T. Shedd is a volume of sermons, which the preface calls this volume of Sermons. The preface says the purpose is psychological and that its speaker would, if possible, anatomize the natural heart. The preface also says it is in vain to offer the gospel unless the law has been applied with clearness and cogency.
One passage describes the future as a mode of existence in which the soul knows even as it is known, and says there is no forgetting in the future state. One passage says the feeling of duty to God's law remains in a man's mind either to bless him or to curse him, when all other feelings depart.
