About this book
Sidonia, the Sorceress is subtitled The Supposed Destroyer of the Whole Reigning Ducal House of Pomerania, Volume 1. The preface says that amongst all the trials for witchcraft with which the writer is acquainted, few have attained so great a celebrity as that of the Lady Canoness of Pomerania, Sidonia von Bork. The preface says Sidonia von Bork was accused of having by her sorceries caused sterility in many families, particularly in that of the ancient reigning house of Pomerania.
The text says that Otto's rage now knew no bounds and that he drew his dagger. The text says all the guests, even old Uckermann, fled away, no one venturing to take up the quarrel with Otto Bork. The text says Sidonia desired nothing better than to make common cause with the good, simple Dorothea, but for her own purposes.
