Star Girl

Henry Winterfeld’s illustrated story “Star Girl” veers sharply into science fiction and space exploration. The narrative centers on Mo, a young extraterrestrial who crashes onto Earth after falling from her father’s spacecraft. After discovering her in the jungle, a group of kids decide to assist her. Their problems, though, start when none of the adults buy Mo’s story. In this wonderful adventure, children bravely help their extraterrestrial companions despite the grownups’ lack of faith.
