About this book
The Aeroplane Speaks. Fifth Edition is by H. Barber. The front matter says the book comes with 36 full pages of Types of Aeroplanes and 87 sketches and diagrams. A character called the Surface says that its Spars are less deep than before, and consequently it is not so thick now. The Angle of Incidence croaks that since the Surface has now less weight to carry for its area, it may be set at a still lesser and finer Angle.
The Drift sneers, “You think you are very clever,” and says the others are not helping Efficiency as much as they think. A rather fast and rakish-looking chap named Stagger speaks up and says he can just stagger the top Surface a bit forward. A plate note says, “Famous Type XI was prototype of all Bleriot successes.”
