About this book
The Ducks and Frogs, a Tale of the Bogs, is credited to Fanny Fire-Fly. Two Ducks set forth to take a stroll when sunshine smiled on dell and knoll. A path leads to a brook whose sparkling waters dance along with a gushing, rushing, rippling song. Among the reeds and tall, green rushes sits a company of long-faced Frogs, a delegation from the bogs.
A Frog quite pert, for one so young, says he votes for emigration, which would save them all this botheration. A proud Drake turns in great surprise and says there is not a Duckling of his brood that would presume to be thus rude. A line advises taking warning from that Frog so young and keeping a bridle on the tongue.
