About this book
The title page gives the work as The Expositor's Bible, edited by the Rev. W. Robertson Nicoll, with The Epistle to the Hebrews by Thomas Charles Edwards. The text says that God has spoken unto us in a Son, Who has been made higher than the heavens, and is as great as God. The text says the oracles are dumb, and that we consult no interpreter of dreams.
The text says the purpose of the Son's coming is already formed, and that He comes to offer His body. The text says the fulfilment of the gracious will of God demands a sacrifice, even a sacrificial death, and that not the death of beasts, but the infinite self-sacrifice and obedience unto death of the Son of God. An index lists entries such as, among others, Tertullian cited, Thankfulness, Theology and Timothy.
