About this book

Young adult author Brittney Morris's "The Jump" is an action-packed book. The narrative centers on Squad Jericho, a group of working-class teenagers in Seattle who are the city's top scavenger-hunting squad. Every member, including puzzler Jax, parkourist Yas, hacker Spider, and cartography Han, has a specialization. Their families could lose their homes, jobs, and communities when an oil refinery is built in their backyard.

Team Jericho views it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when The Order, an enigmatic vigilante group, takes over the scavenger-hunting forum and creates its puzzle with the promise of influence as payment. They have the chance to preserve the city they adore and alter the course of their families' lives if they win this game.
