The Knights of the Round Table by William Henry Frost contains stories of King Arthur and the Holy Grail. A storyteller describes Joseph building a chapel of wood and woven twigs in a place given to him by the King. The storyteller distinguishes stories about a buried Grail or two cruets from a preferred account in which Joseph remains alive through the Holy Grail, awaiting the best knight.
The account of Vortigern describes a tower that stands but cannot keep its ruler happy or safe for long. The Queen reproaches the King's greatest knight over their failure to match the King's faithfulness.
