About this book
The Mystery of Space presents a study of the hyperspace movement in the light of the evolution of new psychic faculties. The title page describes an inquiry into the genesis and essential nature of space. The preface calls mathematics a measure of intellectual evolution. The account of Gauss says that his discoveries in analysis turned his attention definitely toward mathematics while he was residing at Göttingen.
The discussion of thought anticipates a time when the Thinker will pass from studying the arrangement of phenomena in space to returning to himself. The text predicts an inevitable approach to the kosmic space-mind through following the tridimensionality of space.
