The Picturesque Antiquities of Spain is an 1846 travel book by Nathaniel Armstrong Wells, an English traveller who toured Spain recording its Moorish and medieval architecture, cathedrals, and ruins. Written in the Romantic age of Spanish travel that Washington Irving and Richard Ford had opened, the book combines description of monuments with the adventures of the road. It belongs to the rich nineteenth-century English literature of discovering Spain. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
