About this book
The Psychology of Nations is a book by G. E. Partridge. The preface says the book contains two closely related studies of the consciousness of nations. The preface adds that the book was written during the closing months of the war and is completed while the Peace Conference is still in session.
The text says that, assuming warfare arose in one way, we shall probably never know precisely how it originated. A writer named M'Cabe is reported as maintaining that war is not a struggle between inferior and superior national types. The text calls patriotism a new educational problem, a chapter in our theory of education. The text describes the spirit of humanism as no single motive or feeling but a complex mood, so to speak.
