About this book

Meet James Bolivar diGriz, better known as Slippery Jim, a charming con man and master thief loose in a far future where crime has nearly been engineered out of existence. He robs banks, forges identities, and slips through the fingers of the law for the sport of it, all the while insisting he never really hurts anyone. His luck runs out when the shadowy Special Corps, an outfit staffed by reformed criminals, finally outsmarts him and hands him a blunt choice: join us or rot in a cell. What follows is a fast, funny caper that turns a rogue into an unlikely agent. Harry Harrison launched a beloved series with this book. This free PDF and EPUB edition is ready to download.
