About this book
The dedication describes a librarian's idea of forming a hero club for boys in her neighborhood, with stories told by the librarian or a visiting storyteller. Sudaveh goes to the dungeon with a light heart because she loves her husband, serving and comforting him while seated beside him during his captivity.
The account of Barzu's capture describes KaiKhosrau and Rustem supporting Feramurz, with Rustem throwing another noose around the captive to prevent escape. Rustem sees great possibilities in the youthful giant Barzu, begs KaiKhosrau to spare his life and carries Barzu back to Seistan. The dragon vanishes a second time before the hero sees it, and Rustem angrily reproaches Rakush for disturbing his sleep with causeless alarms.
