About this book
To Him That Hath is described as "A NOVEL OF THE WEST OF TODAY" by Ralph Connor. The contents list names, among others, chapters called "The Grievance Committee", "The Foreman", "The Strike" and "The Storm". Under the heading "The Game" the text gives the calls "Forty-Love" and "Game! and Set. Six to two."
Patsy asks Captain Jack, "Do you know where I was?" and answers "In the crutch of the big elm", and Captain Jack calls it "A splendid seat". Mrs. Templeton asks where Jack is, and Rupert answers "Feasting and dancing, I expect"; asked about a dance, Rupert names Odd Fellows' Hall, and Patricia says "I should love to go." Adrien tells Jack, "You have two clear hours for sleep," and promises to wake him in good time. The Employers' Defence Committee meets the next morning with many haggard faces among its members.
