Trees Are Where You Find Them is by Arthur Dekker Savage. A blurb says that, according to old Doc Yoris, the trees on Mars are few and stunted, and that there is plenty of gold, of course, but trees can be much more important. The narrator says that the Ivy is a moving picture house in Cave Junction built like a big quonset.
The narrator says that Doc began to cackle at a picture showing some men getting out of a rocket ship on Mars and running over to look at some trees. Doc says that there are no trees like that on Mars. The narrator says that Burt is one of the newcomers, who had come down from Grants Pass and started a big lumber mill and logging outfit, and was trying to freeze out the little operators. Burt tells Yoris that if it is about his timber he will take it, but cannot pay more than nine dollars now.
