Unspeakable

“Unspeakable” is a novel by Abbie Rushton that tells the story of Megan, a young girl who has remained mute since her best friend Hana passed away too soon. Megan believes that if she speaks up, all of her problems will be exposed and everyone will know who she is, which will make her feel stuck in her life. She pushes away the people she cares about as there are things locked inside her head that are screaming to be heard.

Then, Jasmine, a bubbly, beautiful, talkative new girl starts at school, and for reasons Megan can’t quite understand, life starts to look a bit brighter. The book expresses love, friendship, guilt, trust, and finding the truth.
