Amanda Dykes taught English before she began publishing fiction, and writes historical novels for the inspirational market. Whose Waves These Are, her first, took the Christy Award Book of the Year in 2020 and an INSPY award, and made a Booklist top ten. Set the Stars Alight was a Christy finalist. Yours is the Night, published in 2021, is set among American soldiers in France during the First World War and won the Kipp Award, and it too reached the Christy shortlist. All the Lost Places, from 2022, runs on two timelines, one in Venice and one in San Francisco, and drew starred reviews from Booklist, Library Journal and Foreword. Three novellas sit alongside the novels.
