Aria Noble
Aria Noble writes fantasy that combines climate change, machinery, royal power, and leadership. Prince of Sand and Lady of Dawn are the second and third volumes of the Frost trilogy, both published by Sterling & Stone in 2021. They continue Ember Mikailanova’s journey after Queen of Frost establishes a divided world shaped by a failing Engine. Prince of Sand expands the story beyond Frost and tests alliances formed in the opening book. Lady of Dawn brings Ember and her companions back toward a damaged city as melting tundra, flooding, and Mikail’s pursuit of the Engine’s power converge. The trilogy’s sequence matters because relationships and political choices carry directly from one volume to the next. Noble uses steampunk and post-collapse elements as pressures on character rather than isolated decoration: machines affect geography, inherited authority shapes trust, and Ember’s decisions determine whether technology becomes a means of repair or control. Together, the two later books complete that movement from uncertain heir to responsible leader.
