Bill Medley built an American singing, songwriting, and production career as one half of the Righteous Brothers, the duo he formed with Bobby Hatfield in 1963. The Time of My Life, written with Mike Marino, recounts that partnership, Medley's solo career, and the personal costs surrounding decades in popular music. His bass-baritone anchored recordings such as You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' and (You're My) Soul and Inspiration, while Hatfield took the lead on Unchained Melody. The duo entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. Medley also found major solo success through his duet with Jennifer Warnes, (I've Had) the Time of My Life, recorded for Dirty Dancing and honoured with Grammy, Golden Globe, and Academy Award recognition.
