Geoff Watts
Scrum Mastery argues that the job is not project management with a new title, and that most people given the role do the opposite of what it requires by taking decisions the team should be taking. Watts writes about servant leadership, about protecting a team from its own organisation, and about the awkward position of having responsibility without authority. He worked in the technology side of British broadcasting before becoming a coach, and he trains and certifies people in this for a living, which is the business the books support. The examples come from teams he has actually watched fail.
