J. Gabriel Gates
J. Gabriel Gates took a theatre degree at Florida State University, moved to Los Angeles and appeared in a dozen national television commercials before he published any fiction. The Sleepwalkers, a 2011 horror novel, sends a young man back to the small Florida town of his childhood after a letter arrives from a friend he had lost; he finds children missing and the old asylum reopened. Daughter of Diamonds is the third book of his Luck Gods series, a young adult fantasy whose magic runs on the four suits of a playing-card deck. Gates created the earlier Tracks books with Charlene Keel, originally planned for television, and grew up in Marshall, Michigan, the son of an English teacher.
