Juliana Cummings

Juliana Cummings is a historian and writer whose work examines health, belief, and everyday survival in medieval society. Medicine in the Middle Ages was published by Pen & Sword History in 2021 with the subtitle Surviving the Times. Across its chapters, the book considers medical theory and practice alongside surgery, childbirth, disease, religious care, household remedies, and the social position of healers.
