101 Dog Tricks carries two names on the cover: Kyra Sundance and Chalcy, her Weimaraner. Quarry Books issued it in April 2007, and it has since appeared in eighteen languages and sold more than half a million copies. Sundance, born in Orange County, California in 1970, came to training through competition, taking titles in obedience, agility and hunting before she turned to performing. She graduated from UCLA and was a technology director at Learning Tree International before the dogs became the work. Her acrobatic stunt dog team has appeared on The Tonight Show, Ellen and Animal Planet's Pet Star, and gave a command performance in Marrakech for the King of Morocco. She founded Do More With Your Dog!, the body that sanctions the sport of dog tricks and awards the titles her training manuals build toward. She lives on a ranch in the Mojave Desert.
