A Runaway Brig

A Runaway Brig carries the subtitle Or, An Accidental Cruise. The contents list chapters called, among others, A Voice from the Sea, Bob Brace's Story and An Unexpected Danger. The text says that many boxes and packages which had not been broken each bore the mark Brig Bonita, and the name of the craft was known as well as if the boys had seen the gilt letters under the stern.

The text says that even though Harry and Walter knew nothing about seamanship, they understood how ridiculous it would be to make any attempt at towing a three-hundred-ton brig with a crazy little boat like the Sally. A character named Bob says he would not feel sore a bit if the Bonita had gone to the bottom, or been burned up, but that the same villains brought off the key to save them from starvation have run away with the brig, and that is what riles him. A character named Mr. Vandyne says he will stay on shore until morning and tells the crew to go back to the yacht and, at sunrise, if they think there is no danger, bring her into this cove.
