About this book
Blue-Bird Weather is listed among the works of Robert W. Chambers, alongside The Streets Of Ascalon and Japonette. A man named Marche drives through the darkness with a boy who gives his name as Jim, and asks whether he is eleven. The boy says he has shot plenty, and that his father's gun is too big for him, so he has to rest it on the edge of the blind when he fires.
A girl lies with her face to the sky, and Marche thinks he has never looked upon anything in all the world more pure and peaceful. Herold tells Marche that a man makes one slip like that and the world damns him forever, and that he is not dishonest by nature or in his character.
