About this book
The book presents lectures delivered in St. George’s Free Church Edinburgh by Alexander Whyte, D.D. One lecture speaks of a new kind of pilgrim and says there are not many pilgrims like this bright brisk youth. The text calls Little-Faith such a good man, who had led such an easy life in consequence, that his faith had not been much exercised and therefore had not grown.
The text describes Mr. Fearing as having a face as white as a sheet when he did venture in. The text says the children of Israel had their first solace in their pilgrimage at Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and threescore and ten palm-trees.
