Campward Ho! is a manual for Girl Scout camps, designed to cover the needs of those undertaking to organize and direct large, self-supporting camps for girls. On transport, the manual says travelling and shipping by boat is cheaper than by rail, and is often more satisfactory. On locations, the manual says to waste no time on those which do not afford a lake, a river, the sea, or a brook of good size, if the camp is to be for a large group and open for several weeks.
The manual says the daily swim is as essential to the happiness of the average Scout as is her mess. On tennis, the manual says that it does not take in the same number of players at one time as does Baseball or Basket-ball, so a schedule may be made out so that the courts will not be monopolized by one set of players to the exclusion of beginners or other enthusiasts. The manual also says that dancing is an interesting pastime for camp and fills in many gaps.
