About this book
Clovers and How to Grow Them is credited to Thomas Shaw. The dedication is to all persons who are or may be interested in the growing of clovers.
The text says that on certain soils low in fertility and much deficient in humus, it may be necessary to apply fertilizers in some form before clovers will grow vigorously. The text says other soils are so acid that clovers will not grow on them until the acidity is corrected. The text says rain falling on alfalfa will injure it quite as much as it does red clover. The text says the seed matures early, usually in June or July, according to locality.
