About this book
Condensed Guide for the Stanford Revision of the Binet-Simon Intelligence Tests is by Lewis M. Terman, Professor of Education, Stanford University. The preface says the author has been frequently urged to prepare a condensed guide which would make the application of the tests easier and more convenient. The text says general directions for the use of the Stanford Revision have been fully set forth in chapter VIII of The Measurement of Intelligence.
The text selects ten commandments for reëmphasis, among them that the subject's attention and coöperation must be secured. Directions for Drawing Designs from Memory say to show a card for 10 seconds, right side up, and have S. reproduce designs immediately. One problem in the text says a mother sent her boy to the river to bring back exactly 7 pints of water and gave him a 3-pint vessel and a 5-pint vessel.
