Cornell Nature-Study Leaflets is a selection, with revision, from the teachers' leaflets, home nature-study lessons, junior naturalist monthlies and other publications from the College of Agriculture, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., 1896-1904. A letter of transmittal says that most of these publications are out of print.
The writer says he has no objection to minute dissection and analysis but that we must be very careful not to begin it too early nor to push it too far. A piece on crows says that the reader may have lived for years within easy walking distance of a great crow dormitory without even suspecting its existence, and that there is a sleeping roost a mile or so up one of the wooded valleys. A piece promises to tell readers how to get farms, saying that in April the empty egg shells can be easily obtained and that an empty shell is to hold the soil of a farm.
